Trace was retired to our home and little did I know just what great talkers Double Yellow Headed amazon really were. Trace had been passed around and was an aggressive biter. I have no overwhelming desire to hold my birds or to be bitten, so Trace and I worked it out. He had a big play top cage and I would let him loose, if he didn't bite me. Almost a perfect solution.

This is CC Pizza, an amazon. He has been a breeder bird all his life. some time in his past his right wing was broken and not treated so it healed in a fixed position that doesn't allow for flight. CC is a sweet old boy that wants company but not handeling. That is fine with me. A scratch on the head and some fresh fruit and vegetables and CC is set for the day. He seems quite content in the aviary and will spend the rest of his life with me.
